The bass is fantastic, as is expected with a lot of Bose products. AirPods in contrast have great sound but are more rounded across the different frequencies giving the user a more "even" experience. Not saying one is better than the other. With the QC II, I can definitely tell when the noise cancelling is on and it helps a lot with airplane noise, but the wired earbuds literally cancel out the snowblower.The Bad: these are hands down the most frustrating piece of electronics I have ever owned. I'm on my second pair and the Bluetooth connection is horrible. I had a first pair and I figured I was just unlucky. So even though I was outside the warranty, Bose did offer me $100 credit. So I got new ones. Just like the first set, they worked for a while, but the Bluetooth got worse and worse and worse.Now I've had them about a year and I am so frustrated I'm going to throw them away and never buy Bose wireless earbuds again. Get online and look and you'll see a lot of people complain about connectivity. I have tried all the solutions: - delete the app (seemed to work for a while) - put right earbud in first - factory resetIt's at the point now where every time I want to use them I have to go through a reset - forget the device, re-pair to phone, try again. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Often when it works, it works for 30 seconds and then it drops the connection.A month ago they were going in and out like a bad cell phone connection. Now they most just go out and stay out. For a $300 product, I would expect better. In the 4 years I have had my running watch, I have NEVER had to re-pair it to the phone and I abuse that thing.So short version: nice sound, good product while it lasts, but do not expect to get a full year out of a pair of Bose earbuds. Go off script and get put on hold for almost an hour while they check with a manager. When they come back on and I ask to speak with someone who speaks English as I can’t understand their accent and am told this person speaks English. I asked to speak to their manager/supervisor and was disconnected. So with this issue, I won’t even try. Save your money. Bose does produce great sound when it works.
