However when it comes to transparency mode, sound quality and battery life. These are just good, but not the best. Firstly there is an official app from Sony which provides settings for the EQ, different modes and softwares updates. But the main problem with these is the lack of multiple presets that actually make a difference in sound. There is an extra bass mode in which you can control, however it's not that very satisfying, deep punchy bass you'd expect. I'm a bass lover and these are disappointing when it comes to that, especially for the price. The transparency mode is very robotic and not on the same level as the Apple Airpods Pro. The battery life on both the case and earbuds themselves have been decreased due to the drop in weight and size. I had owned the previous 1000XM4's and those were very uncomfortable to wear. These are slightly more comfortable, but still not best sounding. The microphone quality due to the size of these are seriously lacking and coming from Sony you'd expect great things.
