The pros are that the camera is crystal clear, it has PTZ function and zooms quite close, easy installation, network connection and this camera is made to lastThe cons are that the camera comes with setting that is so sensitive it literally picks every little thing that is in motion. However when you change that setting to pick up people it hardly ever catches motion. The 30 feet max they claim that the camera will pick up motion is nonexistent. This camera has trouble at ten to 15 feet and what motion it does pick up is pretty random and mostly my cat that is directly under the camera. It appears that the camera goes into a sleep mode to save battery life and has trouble waking up even when you are logging into the camera. At night the camera don’t pick up any motion however, when logged into the camera at night you can see through the dark and the clarity is amazing in my opinion but you have to be logged into it. When the camera does decide to pick up motion it only records for a maximum of 30 seconds and that’s all you get. My wife and a friend worked on a flower bed for over an hour inside 20 feet of the camera. The camera only picked up the initial motion and recorded only the first 30 seconds. This is concerning to me but maybe not to you but worth mentioning. I have a Ring doorbell camera 20/25 feet away from this camera that I paid $99.00 for 6 years ago and it far out performed this camera when detecting motion. For the cost of this camera I can certainly see some value in having one, it’s just not meeting my needs or expectations. I was very hopeful to be able to replace my Ring cameras with something that has better night vision and video quality “when picking up motion” and continuous recording while there is continuous motion. My main two reasons for wanting to move away from Ring. If there is a problem or criminals on my property up to no good it would only make sense that there would be continuous recording as long as there’s continuous motion occurring, not just the first 30 seconds. At least not without pixilating until it transmits it all to you. Also it's zoom is not optical but digital. And only visible by app. The biggest disappointment tho is the fact that after paying for extended cloud storage it became apparent that by the time the camera recognizes movement even on the most sensitive settings, the person has gone and stolen or done whatever damage so you miss virtually everything. Including the part of them actually breaking in. But at least we saw the leftover evidence which we could have just seen when we arrived. So the cloud storage is useless.
