Good cameras loaded with useful features |
No zoom, but a bargain for all features offered. However I ran into stability problems that got me worried (please see attached screenshots).Screenshot 1: Camera 1 with strong Wi-Fi (green) lost connection. This was a come and go problem and required frequent “reconnect”.Screenshot 2: Finally I was only given the option to RESET, which was a difficult to do after the camera was installed on the exterior wall. And later in the day both cameras worked again by themselves.Screenshot 3: Camera 2 with moderate Wi-Fi signal (Orange) lost connection. With the “set up” icon I got “No Device” indication, and the only option given was to “ADD Device Now”.Screenshot 4: I went ahead with “ADD Device Now” and I was asked to reinstall like it was never installed before.Screenshot 5 Camera 1 was still working and recorded videos like garbage collection trucks. |
The cameras are capable of Pan and Tilt but not Zoom. However they are loaded with all kinds of useful features. It's a pleasant surprise that all these came with such a low price tag. Warning: and it does take time to learn the app and set them up correctly.After I finally learned how to set up and got the two cameras running, I noticed one of the cameras with strong Wi-Fi signal strength (green icon) became unresponsive (see attached picture). I reached out to seller for technical support. There appeared to be a time difference between seller's technical support and myself. However, seller was able to give me very good support and eventually sent me a replacement with two-day shipping. The replacement camera solved the Wi-Fi stability problem and now both cameras are reporting medium signal strength (orange icon) and responsive. All expected features worked well (it does take time to explore them). |
