The WiFi connection is reliable and easily reconnected after power loss or a WiFi interruption. The feeder automatically sets the clock via the internet and the time stays accurate. The companion smartphone app is easy to use.Bad: The smartphone app reports every hour once the 3 backup D cell batteries get to 30%. Normally this would be a great feature. However, brand new batteries drain to 30% after only 3 weeks! Being backup batteries they should last 6+ months since the USBC cable has working power. The app ignores the no alerts within a time period. This is a software issue as the feeder thinks the backup batteries have power when the app thinks the batteries are drained. There is zero software support in the app and emailing the app developer contact found in the App Store has zero response.
