The reviews section for this product is mixed with reviews for nanny cams and wires. With that being said the zosi 2 camera stand alone device is pretty good. The stationary camera does not appear to have as good of resolution as the bottom camera that tilts and pans. The upper camera is also zoomed out much further than the lower camera so it picks up a wider area. I have it mounted about half way up a telephone pole and i can see about 60 feet side to side. That may be why the resolution isn't that great. This leads me to my only real complaint with the system. You're supposed to be able to track motion and the lower camera should follow the person, but it just doesn't. You can set parameters for it to track, but the parameters are only given for the stationary camera. So unless the lower camera is pointed the same direction as the upper camera, I don't think it is tracking and you for sure can't set parameters in the app.The camera does record to a SD card, but it doesn't show motion or anything on the time line, so reviewing the recording can be daunting. There is a color key legend that is supposed to show when there is motion, noise, vehicles, and people.... but I think you have to pay for cloud to get those features.Overall if I had the choice again, I would probably opt to just buy the single camera, or 2 of them if I needed more coverage. This might be good for a front door where both cameras are facing the same direction, but for my application I wanted one camera facing the front of the house and the other facing the driveway going to my garage. It's an okay fit and far better than a subscription only camera system. |
