Even though the cameras all receive a 4G/GPS connection which includes time data, for some reason Tactcam can't seem to write the correct date to their metadata on their photos. What does this mean, that any software that can actually organize pictures by the date they were taken will see all of your pictures as taken in 2016. It is now 2024. This is not rocket science, cameras have been writing the correct time to pictures as they were taken for probably 30 years at this point. It is infuriating.If you just want to view them in the app and never save them or retrieve them elsewhere, this might work for you. If you want long term storage and retrieval with accurate time/date stamps then maybe look elsewhere. FWIW I am not talking about the info strip recorded on the photos, I am talking about the date recorded inside the file metadata, which can has been used by pretty much everything to organize files for the last several decades.Other than that the cameras work great, but I am leaving a 1 star rating, because their support acknowledges and has not fixed this issue.
