Couldn't use it where I needed because it requires an AC outlet. |
To start I really wanted to like this security camera and I was really looking forward to getting it. When I received it and went to install it I unfortunately found out that it wasn't totally wireless. In order for it to work it has to be plugged into a wall ac outlet. I was under the impression that I would be able to connect it to a solar panel. I ended up not being able to use it where I needed it because I don't have any AC outlets on that side of my house.To make a long story short, I ended up installing inside of my garage. I will say that it does have decent video quality. The setup process was fairly easy. It on connects to 2.4G wifi and not 5G.I do think the 2 image feature is cool. This is the first security camera that has dual cameras. It also has decent night vision as well.To sum things up, this would have been the perfect security camera if I could've used it outside with a solar panel where I needed. Other than that it's a decent security camera. |

Overall okay, but some issues and limitations |
Resolution is good, decent features. The included manual does not address this model. This model is rated to be water resistant, however the water tight fittings for the Ethernet port can only work if you are making your own cables as a premade Ethernet cable will not work with the water tight fitting. Only works with 2.4Ghz network and not 5Ghz, bundled app pushes Ads (mainly for Temu), and really wants you to but the cloud storage. Alerts often come in delayed, which is not very useful. If a memory card is used it will allow you to download images and videos for your phone. This model requires an AC adapter (included) for power vs. solar options on other models. |
