This is a really good camera for the lice, ease of set up and installation. Unfortunately after about 18 months the image looks like the lens is dirty. Tried cleaning it but to no avail. Can still see an image but it’s sim and very blurry. |

When I purchased this I was expecting (because of the description and reviews) a really good Camera, turns out it more of a low end entry level model, the video quality is ok except for the color night vision is very wavy around the edges and very grainy so bad I can’t use that mode, the ptz controls are not very responsive and jerky even though I have a 94% signal and it’s less than 20ft from my router, I work nights and live in a rural area so I need a good camera, this will have to do for now but I plan to replace it with a better quality camera! |
Great Camera, easy to install, took a little bit to configure the settings just right but that was probably just me! |

UPDATE: We are NOT happy with the 3 ANRAN security cameras we ordered from ANRAN via Amazon. NONE of the cameras automatically motion track and record movement of humans OR animals around our property. We were previously instructed by an ANRAN representative to go to the Custom Mode Settings and turn off Day and Night Humanoid Detection options so that all humans, pets, vehicles and packages will be detected. We did so, but when we stand under the cameras and walk back and forth, NONE of the cameras follow us as we move. That was an important feature for us, which is why we ordered the ANRAN cameras as the motion tracking features were advertised. We regret purchasing these cameras because when we contacted the company about this, an ANRAN representative finally revealed, \they have motion detection, meaning cameras capture people when they move nearby. [ONLY] Our wired cameras have motion tracking capabilities.\Also, there appears to be no app for desktop PCs, and it is almost impossible to efficiently monitor and manage all three ANRAN cameras from the Smartphone app, which is not recommended either. |
Impressed by numerous functions and features advertised at the time, we ordered three ANRAN wireless, solar powered security cameras — one of which has withstood extreme Sonoran Desert weather during the past three seasons. So, for starters, we can attest to the sturdiness and durability of the ANRAN camera build. We also like the sleek, streamlined design.As climate change activists, we love that all three ANRAN cameras are 100% powered by our desert sunshine, which canopies our skies 350-plus days year 'round. That said, we count on these cams to keep us aware at all times of what desert critters are canvassing our corner of the cactus.All three of these solar-powered security surveillance cameras capture incidents ranging from pet-owner passersby to passing wildlife. We are delighted that the images and videos reveal all sorts of events, such as coyote, bobcat and javelina on the hunt, to humans hiking or biking on a nearby trail or hill. We laughed to see one video the camera captured of two rabbits doing what rabbits do to make more rabbits, and when their movement triggered the camera spotlight and video, they looked up in embarrassment and skirted away ?Often though, windy conditions and moving branches will trigger event alerts. This can be quite annoying depending on whether you allow notifications from the app.Also, these wireless, solar-powered cameras only photograph and video whatever person or animal is pictured in lens range as the cam records an “event.” Neither the camera body nor the camera lens begins to swivel or tilt to motion track whatever is moving. Although you can swivel and pivot the lens manually from the app, the camera will not automatically move itself to track people or animals.To be clear, none of these wireless, solar-powered cameras automatically motion track and record movement of humans or animals. Unfortunately, we learned this only after we'd already installed and configured all the app preferences for our three cameras, positioning them in strategic locations around our property.When we first contacted ANRAN customer service via email about this, an ANRAN representative instructed us to go to the Custom Mode Settings and turn off Day and Night Humanoid Detection options so that all humans, pets, vehicles and packages will be detected. I'm a bit disappointed. Clarity leaves much to be desired. If you need a license plate number 25 feet away your out of luck. Solar charger is good. Notifications good, software works fine. Just have to be about 20 feet away. Too bad, I would have bought more. |
