I have used these kind of Camera's from a different manufacturer before. Your phone (or other device) looks at a bar code and you download the APP. Then your phone looks at a bar code on the camera to recognize it. Third your camera looks at a bar code on your camera to recognize it. Then, your pretty well finished unless you want to adjust setting and name your camera Living Room or something. This camera never got through step three. I tried on 4 devices (I phone SE, 13, IPAD and Android tablet). The camera would never recognize the bar code the APP provided. There were alternatives provided in the APP for such a scenario. No alternative worked on any device. I long pressed the reset button as suggested and still nothing. I could not test the use of the camera due to this shortfall and have no alternative than to give it one star. |

I got this to watch over a few of my pets, specifically my turtles. It is easy to set up using the app, but I could not find the free cloud storage that is supposed to be offered. It is compact and swivels nicely. While the picture quality is not amazing, it is good for what I need it for (and great for its price). I cannot speak about the night vision, but the motion alerts are good.The only thing is that the listing title says this is an indoor camera, but the description says it is an indoor and outdoor camera. It can probably used outdoors if you protect it, which is what I plan to do. I also want to hook up a solar panel so I don't have to keep it plugged in. If you need a simple, compact camera at an easy price point and are not picky about features, give this a try. |
