Its fairly cheap to operate month the month and will alert you if it sees motion. The picture quality is similar to a youtube video set to 144p if its in high quality mode. You will not be able to read license plates or make an id on someone's face at 10 feet away. High quality mode gives you a useable image for the purpose of seeing what's happening but not in detail. This is by no means a high definition camera. I had a guy walk by the camera maybe 8 feet away, camera mounted 10 feed off the ground and i could tell if he had facial hair or not. The claim of 2K uhd is a flat out lie.
