Tested this one out in my backyard first. I was really hoping the Wifi would allow the opportunity to log in to the camera and view through the camera. Just never really worked well and repeatedly disconnects. I have two different wifi routers and both are the later models. Battery life declines very quickly, even 25% reduction after two nights of very few pics and videos. I disabled the wifi so battery life would be longer. I have come to the conclusion that Wifi trail cameras are just not the best alternative. Consequently you have to wade through a LOT of content just to find that one video with the deer, and also your batteries (8 AA) run down pretty quickly. Then somehow it also DOESN’T catch animals when I know there were some present. I don’t know how this happens. I can’t explain it. I have an old Westport camera that did a great job and caught deer (and some other animals) pretty much every day, but its night vision started to fail and I wanted to upgrade to a Wi-Fi camera. That’s why I got this one, but the operation of the old Westport camera was frankly much better.
