I actually bought the bundle that includes 2x of these with 1 free 64gb sd card. I used one facing the front and the other at the rear but inside the car. I live down in South Florida and people here drive like maniacs and if they crash into you, even at fault, they will still argue so i this little cams do the talking for me but my only problem so far with them is the picture quality. I don't know if others here just got lucky with good units or what but mines even set to 2k, the video quality is easily compared to that of 480p. I even tested the video on a 4k tv and not much better. Bright clear daylight recordings are decent but cloudy or raining days it's a different story and night time since i work a 6.am to 2.pm shift, it's a 50/50 on quality and tag reading up close. Can't obviously expect much out of a $40 dash cam so is yeah, but anyways, it still does what i need it for so they will do for now. You'll have to buy your own memory card, even though I read some reviews where people said they got 64GB memory cards with it. So that's an additional investment.But that aside, it was SO challenging to install. The mounting hooks are the worst because they don't stick anywhere and fall of as soon as you attempt to stick them. If you use electrical tape, the wire starts sagging and falls off.Most importantly, I couldn't see the option to turn loop recording off. So if I'm driving for 4-5 hours and recording non-stop, it's going to overwrite the old recording. I have seen other dash cams giving you the opportunity to turn it off.Yet to test out the recording during day time, but during night time it's pretty average (like 720p quality) even though it says 1440p. It's compact, so that's a good thing about it.
