Its so badly located youre going to need tweezers or something to insert the card. This is where most like the full size SD card slots. You might get lucky like i did one time and just turn the cam upside down and let the card drop into the slot area and hope it lines up. good luck if your drop that little sucker, worst place is in the oak leaves.There is no name on the cam or op manual on who makes this cam. I had to look at my purchase on Amazon, its not even on the box it came iin. Dargahou is the maker out of China. It is only about a foot and a half long so you can plug it in and use that but you have to be really close to an outlet or go buy a USB extension cable. I tried an AC adapter instead but it didn't work.Also, one last thing. The manufacturer is said to be Dargahou. Good luck finding them. Their name isn't on the box. It isn't on the camera. It isn't in the instruction manual. They have no website, no phone number, no email address, nor any contact information at all. Dargahou seems to be a trademark of an outfit named Krututy out of China that owns hundreds of trademarks. If you buy this, know the limitations. Know you probably don't have anyway to get support other than just returning it to Amazon. Does it work? Yeah. Would I buy it again?
