I used this product to watch my driveway of 2 vehicles. I noticed the camera wasn’t consistent it picking up events through its field of view. I sent recordings through my own phone, to ieGeek, about the missed events… they said, yes that camera is defective, we will send you a refund.I opted to give them another try. I bought a more expensive “higher end” model from IeGeek. Same exact thing…. It misses about 40%-50% of events. This is unacceptable for a security camera.I have been in contact with customer service for the last 3-4 weeks…. They can only respond once a day at 4am bc they are based in China. They keep giving me different directions to try with settings in the app that are not working and have made matters worse.Is it possible I got 2 defective cameras? Maybe, but I doubt it. I would definitely look elsewhere for home security purposes, these cameras are just not reliable. I feel a lot of consumers don’t pay attention to what’s missed so they wouldn’t know.I bought these cameras because the reasonable price and reviews were great. Come to find out, if you give them a 5 star review they will send you an Amazon credit of $30, at the time. I don’t know about anyone else but in my idea that negates a good portion of those reviews as they are not sincere towards the product functionality. |
