Doesn't stream to 'my' cloud |
There are so many things to look for in a ptz webcam that you might not realize that you missed something until you go to set it up. For example, this camera has presets but you do not find out until you get one and set it up that you cannot change a preset. You have to delete it and create a new one. Odd. Silly. Annoying. Another thing is that it has motion detection, but not for automobiles (only humans and animals?). I would like to have events on humans or vehicles (not animals). Another issue is that you can write video to a Micro SD card but you can only stream to 'their' cloud service, even though you are connecting to your own wifi network. That is frustrating to say the least. I would like to be able to write video to a local drive on my computer. Next, I am getting a lot of 'Screen Change' events, where the camera seems to be moving itself permanently without being told to. I do not want the camera to move unless there is a qualifying event, and I do not want it to change the presets on its own, ever. This is infuriating. Next, the application gets stuck a lot and there should be the ability (through a 'cancel' button for example) to return to another window/view but in some cases they do not have this capability. Also, I do not seem able to control the camera unless I am right next to it and that is not good.The manual has no specifications in it. I was a bit peeved in reading the description on Amazon that there was no link to the manual, and no specs, but assumed that they would be with the device when it arrived, but they are not. This is not good.I have reached out to their customer support and they have yet to respond and it has been half a day already. If I cannot resolve these issues I will have to return the camera and get something else.If I am mistaken about any/all of this I will update my review. |
