We have a mesh system for wifi but I added an extender anyway. Unit is positioned less than 40 ft from the house and the mesh system gets wifi to devices up to 400 ft from the house. Even after regular wifi reboots, the wifi connection is unstable and the unit is unable to go to live mode without losing connection but it is functional (when it does decide to connect) and still enjoyable without that feature. Today they sent a firmware update which took the whole unit down and it will not reconnect. Now it's a paperweight as far as a functional camera goes. I really love this unit so this is extra disappointing. I will contact customer service again but I expect the same run around as before. 12 Weeks of semi functional use and now no use is a huge let down for an older disabled person who can't afford to just go buy another one or a different brand.Helpful........update- finally got it to reconnect after the update but it took 2.5 hours of struggle. the same advice over and over- reboot the wifi and add an extender. The unit connected easily and has had a very stable connection. Seller really went above and beyond to make things right so I have changed my review. There is no power button and no reset button I could find and the included manual pictures do not match camera in box. So right now, no way to connect camera to wifi/internet. Instructions do not say to charge first, but I connected charging cord to USB outlet in house to charge for a few hours. So far, totally unusable, and no way to contact no name listed company. Camera company responded to my complaint of the hidden power button within 24 hours, though I had already figured it out.I suggested manual be updated to1. Charge camera initially by connecting USB cable to lightening slot on camera cable at back of camera. cab and to USB outletuntil camera light turns green.2. Tilt camera forward in its case, and Remove white battery cord from white plastic cover on top of camera.3.
