My biggest issue with this feeder is that it randomly goes offline A LOT. And of course my luck, it would go offline the rare time I'm not at home and need to feed my pets from my phone. My workaround here was to get smart plugs for all 3 feeders. Then I have to shut them off to act as an "unplug and plug back in" kind of thing. The whole point of an auto feeder (I think) is that it is as automatic as possible. I can't even use my basic voice commands to feed from all 3 without worrying that one is offline, so I have to check first. The second issue I have with this product is that the portion sizes aren't measured in anyway. If your cat eats 1/4 cup, you'll have to run each portion size and hand measure it to see what's closest before saving a setting. The app just calls it "_ portion" with a portion number. The portion 3 is like a heaping 1/8 cup. The only thing I really liked was the app. It's easy to use and you can create scenes to feed all pets at once. It just only works out if the feeders are online... |
