I honestly do not understand the amount of positive reviews for this product. The feeder itself is of decent quality, but I have two issues that are making me return it.First, it will not automatically identify birds like some other AI feeders can. The bird detection notifications that come to you via the app displays a thumbnail style image letting you know it detected a bird, but it does not tell you the species. You have to connect to the live video feed, then select the bird identification button to identify the live bird or capture a still image of the bird which stores it in the gallery and then identify that image. Most of the time the bird is long gone by the time you connect via live view. This is not convenient or what I wanted.Second, there is nothing in the description that lets you know at the time of purchase that you also need to buy a microSD card in order for this device to function. The instructions refer to it as a TF Card. The bird identification, image capture, or video capture do not function without it. The application is buggy and sluggish and not the best layout.If they could resolve the app functionality, they might have a decent product. It falls short as it is, and truly defeats the reason for purchasing an AI bird feeder. |
