I have the dual dispenser & the dispenser does not work correctly. No matter what portion setting I program the feeder just dumps a huge amount at one time. See picture. That is program setting 01. I’ve reset it 3X now w no success. It’s also difficult to program-not user friendly. |

Dual feeder makes for easy feedings |
We have 2 cats and wanted something to feed them when we were gone numerous days camping. This is going to work great!! Only giving 4 stars because trying to figure out how to program it was a bit confusing. YouTube videos were great except there was no voice to tell you what to do only words to read on the screen which was a bit tricky to read the words and program the feeder at the same time. Once I figured it out how the programming is easy. Second thing I don't like about the feeder is when dispensing food into both bowls it doesn't dispense the same amount into each bowl. One bowl always has a little more than the other bowl. Other then that it is a great feeder. |

It just spits out a ton of food, much larger portions than what manual says |
I liked the look of this automatic feeder, it seemed pretty simple and straightforward. It really wasn't, and I'm not too happy with it to be honest. Not worth the money and headache to set it up IMO.1st- Most of the directions are simple and easy to understand. Putting together the hopper and how the lid locks is very easy to do. However, to attach the feed divider to have two bowls, it says to remove the base. And then there's nothing telling me how exactly to remove the base. Do I pull it? Are there screws? Does it have to turn? Are there little clips somewhere? No clue at all. I had tried to pull the bottom off but it was very hard to do, so at first I was worried I was going to break it and was just missing something to figure it out. Nope, you just have to figure a way out to hold the top part while muscling the base off.2nd- programming is a bit awkward, and it's hard to tell if I'm actually pressing the buttons, there's no feedback unless I'm long pressing and hear a beep. But, for the most part I was able to navigate through the settings and set up meal times and how many portions to feed. So I tried it out, let it do a manual feed, and the thing just dumped enough food to completely fill both bowls (which, they are not small bowls). It was at least 1.5 cups per bowl, which is a massive amount considering the size of my two kitties. Attempts to change the portion size to smaller did nothing, though we could make it bigger! It's honestly super frustrating. I even checked to see if the kibble size was within the range of the little image provided in the booklet, and it was almost the same size, just a tad bit smaller- I feed my cats Hills Science Diet adult chicken flavor, and it's a pretty normal sized kibble.Honestly, I can't use it with the auto feed since it just pushes out too much food and I'd prefer to regulate the amount of food they eat so they don't start to get chonky. It's now just become an expensive free-feeder that's going to be harder to clean than my previous one. I'd return it but I just don't have the time and energy to set their old food bowls up and have to empty this one and take it apart. |
