A nice camera and motion security setup - but with two major flaws.

1. NO outdoor rated device should use a “power adapter” wall wart that just plugs into an outlet. Anyone can pull the plug from the outlet and the device is useless. It is advertised as a wired device, and should run on standard 120V AC household wiring and be permanently wired in to the electric circuit.2. While significant thought was put into the camera design, the manufacturer used low quality color temp LEDs for the floodlights. 4200K color temp is only slightly above “soft white”. To achieve maximum illumination at the maximum distance, they should have used 5500-6000K “bright white” LEDs this manufacturing design flaw was likely to save money, but for a device costing over $200 (at the time of this review), the manufacturer should have spent the extra $5 or so it would cost to provide maximum illumination. Since the floodlights cannot be replaced or removed, this flaw is a “wouldn’t buy again” level killer. If it’s a customer preference choice, they should offer 2 different color temps or permit removal and replacement of the LED floodlights |
