Alarm captures randomly cut off, often during peak motion activity. This sometimes results in videos that are shorter than even the post-record setting. There is a bug report filed by someone else on Reolink's website several months ago and no fix yet. As time goes in this looks less promising.Adding FTP compounded the problems. I'm finding in my directory video files which are /very/ short, as low as 1.1KB. Not a typo. KILO bytes.The final straw was when someone was repeatedly driving slowly by, stalking my property. The camera cut off half of some of the events. This was a very big, obvious van taking a big chunk of the frame and I had post-record on. I was able to reproduce this simply walking past it. Sometimes it captures all of the event, sometimes not, and it doesn't seem to matter how obvious the motion is.I found little use of the vehicle/person detection. With motion detection, foliage rustling in the wind triggers many false alarms and there's no feature to filter that out specifically. The closest I can get is creating no-detect zones but it results in big blind spots for motion detection. I had to take it down, straighten the mount, and then remount the camera. That little ball joint in the mount isn't a ball joint. It looks like one, but it's not. So if you don't install the mount perfectly level, your image is going to be tilted.Overall, it's an OK camera. For the price is a decent camera. But it has some quirks that prevent me from loving it."I am a long time Reolink user with probably 40-50 Reolink cameras, four 16 channel NVR's. This model is the ONLY one I've encountered where you cannot adjust the level after mounting. The few cents Reolink saved by using an imitation ball mount has cost me and I suspect many others extra installation time and sub optimal performance (images not level) from this camera.Additionally, if you have an older Reolink 8MP NVR, you can only get 6MP from this 8MP camera. The images are, as you would expect, very similar to a 5MP image.I think this is one of those offerings where the marketing department won and the engineers lost. I've just ordered one of the new Duo 3's. Hopefully it will have a real ball joint in the mount. Come on Reolink, you can do better than this and you usually do.
