I was excited to get this camera with a solar panel built-in so I would only have one thing to mount. For most of the year it worked great and kept charged, but once late autumn arrived here, charging on this one camera dropped off significantly. I believe that’s because of a few reasons. First, the solar panel on this unit is on the top, while my other panels I have almost completely vertically. Second, the solar panel on this unit is about 1/3 the size of the standalone Eufy solar panels. Third, if I could rotate this camera 90°, so that its solar panel was facing southwest instead of at a mostly horizontal 10° angle, it could collect significantly more sunlight. However, Eufy cameras don’t allow rotation, so this is not possible. Apparently there is an outstanding feature request going on over five years to allow rotation, but at this point I would assume it’s just never going to come.As far as the other features of this camera, it’s perfectly fine and slightly better than my 2C cameras with better resolution. So now I spent all this money to just look live videos from the cameras? I have restarted the HomeBase, clear the space, increased all sensitivity from the cameras and changed the setting to optimal surveillance, and nothing so far.This is a very expensive system altogether and should not be having issues like this since it is brand new, so I don’t like eufy system that mucho anymore nor I recommend them.
