When we purchased this it worked great for about 2 months. We bought it ahead of a vacation as we planned for it to be able to feed our cats while we were away for a week. The day after we leave for vacation, it stops working. Luckily we had someone available. After we got home it would spin and get stuck or not spin at all. The food size is within the acceptable size.
