This puts you in a position where depending on this feeder while you’re away could be tantamount to animal abuse. I’m usually home when it goes off so I just listen to the sound it makes and at least once I week I have to empty the feeder and manually unclog it for it to function as expected. The flaw is in the soft fin spoke design that catches, rotates, then releases the kibbles. I’d think if the fins were less flexible and the motor stronger, this would be a more dependable product. I can’t comment on if smaller kibbles would avoid this issue entirely but for larger kibble users, be aware that this product comes with promise of mandatory supervision.
