They thought of everything -- almost -- the app only works on your phone!Pros -- the bird feeder has a nice design is well-built and easy to assemble. camera is built in and can be positioned and has a slot for SD card solar panel provides power to camera (haven't used so don't know for how long) lighting for better viewing. siren for scaring away squirrels sends notifications of motion It provides several options for attaching -- including a very sturdy metal angle holder. offers cloud storage and bird recognition for a feeCons. the app only works on your phone! the bird feeder and accessories are quite heavy. I plan to put mine on a fence post which means the squirrel baffle provided is of no use. when setting up you are given a QR code that takes you to the cloud storage (netvue) and subscription with no option to say no thanks to use without subscription you need Birdfy app -- which is not mentioned anywhere in instructionsThis was a Christmas gift from my daughter. It is not set up yet as the sturdy bird feeder pole I bought for it is not enough to hold it. I will have my handyman put in a 4-inch fence post. It took me some time to figure out all the gadgets -- because while they identify the items in the box they do NOT tell you that you have more than one option for attaching the bird feeder. There are also two options for attaching the solar panel -- also not explained. As I said they thought of almost everything. I am extremely disappointed that there is no app for my computer. I was looking forward to being able to watch the birds on my laptop, my large computer screen, and/or my smart TV. As it is presently all I have is a very heavy expensive bird feeder. |
Customer Service came through. They listened to my concerns and understood the issues. I have been able to return the birdfeeder. My daughter who gave me the birdfeeder received a full refund. Thank you.My biggest issue was the app is not available for laptops.
