The memory card slot is under the ball so you have to move the ball with your hand to see the slot.On to the issues at hand, owning this camera and messing with the settings and everything an SD CARD DOES NOT SAVE EVENTS. I just want to clarify this, most people buy a camera to be able to view events. It says in the description that it saves videos and I want to stress it might with a cloud service but not with an SD card. However it does save screen shots of events. if you pull the arrow up on the app you'll see a button that says 'messages' on the bottom left and its timestamped screen shots. It's an OK feature. If you don't care to save events than this is a really nice camera for the price. Im a bit disappointed at the false advertising it should have an * symbol next to the claim to save videos. You can save videos manually though! but the whole point in a camera is to save events while you're not home, at work or not looking at the camera while the event happens. If you're away and the camera caught something nefarious all your going to get is a screen shot that may or may not capture a person. So keep that in mind when purchasing. This imo is a perfect pet camera. maybe for a cage pet such as guinea pigs or a hamster. you can pop in and see how your furry little one is doing maybe capture a video of them doing something cute. I would not recommend this for home security unless you want to pay for cloud service and then just make sure it does what it says it will.
