The installation file passes security scans, but as soon as you try to run the installed program, Norton 360 fires off three security alerts. The digital signature of the software is invalid and two separate warnings for routines in the program attempting to SEND data on the internet to two different IP addresses. It is the same behavior that a Trojan Horse data theft program would exhibit!! Customer Service was rather suspicious with their response to the issue, saying to disable your security software and run the program anyway, it is “non-toxic”.?????Likes: Excellent front and rear cameras. The iPhone app is functional and allows viewing of the video files but see below. Mounting was reasonably easy with the hardware, tools, and instructions they provided. Cable lengths were adequate for an SUV. GPS data is excellent with coordinates, speed, and time stamps on the video. Settings options are very good.Dislikes: If you get the USB-C connecter version, beware a USB-C to USB-C cable will not work to interface to the computer (neither Windows or Mac) - it does not power on. (There appears to be a power/grounding wiring problem with the USB-C connector implementation.) However, USB-A (computer) to USB-C (F7NP) cables will power it on whether the cable is Power Only or Power and Data. If it is a power and data cable the unit goes into “Mass Storage”/data transfer mode, automatically. Without a USB-A to USB-C cable it is very cumbersome and time consuming to download files off the camera, both in time (through Wifi) and complexity (using an SD card reader) on a computer.The camera buttons have multiple functions (press, press for 2 seconds, press and hold) so you need to keep a manual handy in the car or study and practice extensively, so that you remember the sequences when you need them. Otherwise, it is very difficult to access files quickly, say after an accident or during a traffic stop to dispute charges.The App requires the F7NP Wifi to be active to talk to the unit. You can select what you view (both on the app and the unit) but it has very limited remote settings capability. The camera Wifi on/off setting resets to OFF each power down, so you must go through the Wifi syncing process EVERY time you want to interface with the camera. To do that you have to use the complex Camera buttons which are not easily accessible when installed nor safe to operate while driving. It is a long (multiple button push process to get to the Wifi control in settings). There is a shortcut, if you can remember it and which of the 4 buttons (12 options) it is. You cannot access settings functions on the camera when Wifi is active.Viewing of the files on a Windows machine requires the PURCHASE of the HEVC codec from the Microsoft Store. The codec is needed for Windows icon image functionality and for Microsoft Viewers and Editors. You can pass the files through your phone (which automatically converts the file) to your computer, but it will also change the file names, which are time-stamp based. The alternative is the use of the Red Tiger Player, which I discourage.
