You can easily manage things like amount of meals per day, portion size, and time of each meal. Great for portion control and watching your pet's diet. I found the UI and buttons to be clean and pretty straightforward. Customizing the settings wasn't tedious or difficult. Durability has been good. I've been using the automatic feeder for ~6 months now with no issues. Works just like on day 1. Additionally, I like that the food reservoir is large and can hold over a week's worth of food (depending on your settings).With all that said, I do think there is room for improvements.1) Feeding bowl is too deep. The edges hit my cat's whiskers, causing whisker fatigue. Because of this, my cats don't eat out of this bowl unless it is almost completely full, which causes my 2nd issue...2) Food gets stuck after being dispensed. Food dispenses properly, but due to the angle that the food falls into the feeding bowl, the bowl doesn't completely fill. Instead, the food will get stuck at the entrance, even though the bowl is half empty. This requires you to have to manually move the food down into the bowl and kills some of the convenience and automation.3) Allow for larger portions. I found that even on the max portion size of 9, this was too small for a meal for 2 cats. I would have liked to have had larger portion sizes to take into account having multiple cats. You could set up two meals to happen within a minute of each other to get around this.4) Can instill bad grazing habits for cats. Cats are hunters, not grazers. I prefer feeding my cats meals vs just having food around 24/7. Due to the issues mentioned above with whisker fatigue, food often is left in the feeding bowl causing my cats to graze. Thankfully they don't tend to graze often since they prefer the wet food I feed to them in separate bowls. But this is something to consider if you are purchasing the automatic feeder to limit food consumption.
