I purchased the Petsafe healthy feeder on April 22, 2022. Now it's January 2024 and I am frustrated that the feeder no longer operates properly. When the control panel indicated an error, I spent 30 minutes with customer service hoping to resolve the issue. The error message disappeared but the feeder is not dispensing food. I have wasted several hours following the instructions with no success. The timer is working and you can hear the motor starting but the conveyer is not dispensing any food. I no longer want to waste more time with the unit and am looking for a replacement from a different manufacturer. I find this difficult to program and the type on the control panel is so small that you need a flash light to see the letters. |

I bought this product based on what appeared to be some pretty good recommendations online. Seems nature and the local racoon had other plans. I have only had the product for a couple of weeks, and only put batteries in and set it up just a week ago. The video shows why I'm not entirely sure this product rates as "raccoon proof"... Mind you... the auto-feeder was NOT just dragged off into the woods. The racoon abandoned it when it didn't just pop open, but still managed to break the ring that holds the bowl in place, and had it turned on its side several feet away, such that looking for it through our windows, it was NOT immediately obvious as to where it had ended up. The bowl was entirely separated from the auto-feeder.This isn't a great thing to have occur, but there was no included advice suggesting a zip tie to the outdoor furniture might be useful... judge for yourself, folks... |
