There is quite a delay in the notifications. According to the app, the camera has a signal strength of 87% which should be more that adequate to provide a satisfactory performance. It's more disappointing as the picture quality is good.Going to seek advice from a family member that has a number of cameras on his property, depending upon his suggestions and advice I may just need to return this.Update: after having a family gathering where my daughter and her family and my son and his family visited, I decided that the camera definitely needed returning. Numerous trips were made back and forward to cars to bring things into our home. The only time the camera captured people were as they left our home, not once did it capture anyone coming in to our home. The camera was removed the following morning and returned to Amazon. I found the range of the PIR was shorter than advertised, so the delay between sensor activation and camera activation was too long to show a person coming towards our door.I contacted Customer Support through the app. Because of their encouraging response I agreed to try a different camera. I tried this camera in the original position and then in various positions around my property. I found that a position close to the gate into my property, which has movement across the camera and not towards it, gave much better recordings. It is not my preferred location, but it does a good job now.
