No where near perfect. |
Probably one of the better ones I've tried. They all promise so much but rearly deliver everything. I had lots of issues with false alerts i.e. rain. Often I found the camera fixed on a point I did need to be watched. Playing with the settings helped and did manage to greatly reduce false positives i.e. turning OFF motion (not great) BUT no getting away from the fact it's rich with features, more than competitors have. Overall it's a ok camera, poor picture, no rich notification, fairly quick notifications and NO patrol mode. |

Good camera - as long as you don't want to use the auto tracking feature |
There are plenty of other far more in-depth reviews of this camera available online, but unfortunately I didn't read/watch them fully to learn that there is one fatal flaw to what is ultimately a decent piece of hardware. As soon as you activate the auto-tracking function (where the camera will pan horizontally to track a person/vehicle/pet) then it will never properly return to the home position afterwards, seemingly moving slightly further than needed every time. I found mine totally spun around facing the wall for example, which is obviously useless. Reolink support quite simply offered an apology and a swap for a different model, as they said that a replacement E1 Outdoor would likely have the same issue. I returned via Amazon and swapped for a Trackmix WiFi model which is superior in every way. |
